PVAA Events and activities

The following are our planned events for 2023.

Events

Work Party – April 22

A small crew is needed to prep and stain the posts for the Scout Law signs along the trail to Rendezvous. Prep work for other projects will be done if we have enough manpower.

PVAA Ranch Hands Work Day – May 6th

PVAA will be staffing at least two crews, 10-12 people per crew. Once will be focused on installing the posts for the Scout Law signs along the trail to Rendezvous. The other will be doing interior improvements to the warming shed.

Mentor Weekend – June 3-4

We are hoping to start a new tradition of Alumni teaching sessions during staff week. These classes could be anything from general sessions to the entire staff, to program specific sessions. For example, how to manage groups of 20 Scouts in a merit badge, or everything there is to know about geology.

First Summer Camp Family Night – TBD

The current staff invite the PVAA and their families to attend the first family night of the summer. This is the one that is traditionally for the staff families, before the camp opens to Scouts.

Closing Banquet – TBD

The PVAA is invited to attend the yearly Closing Banquet. Past madden Scholars will be acknowledged along with the newest scholars and previous recipients of the yearly staff award will present it to the current year’s recipients.

Fall Family Picnic – TBD

A Saturday when the PVAA can bring their families to enjoy a day back at paradise.
