Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch

Peaceful Valley Alumni Association (PVAA)

The Peaceful Valley Alumni Association (PVAA) is a group of veteran Scouters and former Camp Staffers dedicated to the preservation, maintenance, and program support at McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley. Three nationally accredited camps make up PV, which is located at 7,000 feet in elevation near the town of Elbert, Colorado.

PVAA Membership

In addition to knowing that you are helping future generations enjoy the camp that made such an impact on your life, you’ll receive our quarterly newsletter, be invited to PVAA events, and be able to choose which projects get done.

Membership Options

Current or Recent Staff – FREE, until the year that you turn 24 years old.
Yearly Membership – $25 / year
Lifetime Membership – $250 total

The following are our planned events for 2024.

Events

Ranch Hands Work Day – May 4th – Sign Up Here

Join us for the biggest workday of the year! The PVAA will primarily be working on projects like the Memorial Wall and Scout Law signs on the main road.

Mentor Weekend – May 31st to June 2nd – Sign Up Here

Join us for the 2nd annual Mentor Weekend! The PVAA uses this weekend to pass along information and traditions to the current staff. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to improve the current staff, socialize with old friends and revisit camp.

Fall Family Picnic – TBD

A Saturday when the PVAA can bring their families to enjoy a day back at paradise.

Field Uniforms – Helping provide Field Uniforms (Class A Greens) to Camp Staff
Final Improvements to the Betty Forsyth Conservation Trail
Mountain Bike Trail Signage
Re-furbish the Camp Cris Dobbins Sign at the Y in the road

Exterior and Interior improvements to the Warming Shed (the old white building near the main entrance) – COMPLETED!
First Annual Mentor Weekend During Staff Week – COMPLETED!
Improvements to the Betty Forsyth Conservation Trail – MOSTLY COMPLETED!
