Makers Camp at Donald E. Scott Colorado Adventure Point
Do you have a young creative at home that is always looking to start a new project? Campers who participate in Makers Day Camp will take advantage of CAP’s fabrication and technology labs by getting an introduction to painting, pottery, photography, woodwork, and metalwork.
A new medium is offered each day, in hopes to inspire campers to imagine creating new innovative projects with their fresh new set of skills. The goal for this camp is for participants to not only walk away with awesome projects, but also to inspire creativity, gain confidence, and start dreaming about creative careers. Each day will begin with learning about art concepts including color theory and the logistics of working in the field.
After introducing how to safely operate the tools, the rest of the day will be an open workshop with the assistance of our qualified instructors.
CAP offers Care Packages that can be a nice surprise for your camper! For a small cost participants will receive a CAP T-shirt, carabiner, stickers, pins, patches, and a FREE voucher to Open Adventure Day. Additionally, with the purchase of a Care Package there is a 1 in 15 chance to win a FREE week of STEM Camp!
Makers Camp is for all youth, ages 9-13, and includes all necessary tools and materials. Due to the creative nature of the camp it is advised to wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get messy.
