Join us as we honor the excellence of Scouting at Scouting Colorado’s Annual Recognition Banquet—an exceptional event dedicated to acknowledging the remarkable contributions of volunteers within our Scouting Community, the notable class of 2023 Silver Beaver recipients will be honored. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that Districts will have the opportunity to honor their most esteemed volunteers during a dedicated segment of the event, prior to the dinner.
Our aspiration is for this gathering to serve as the heart of Scouting Colorado, a moment when all volunteers unite and, together with the Council, celebrate each other’s invaluable commitment to the Scouting mission. Save the date for March 12, 2025, as this year, we emphasize our tradition of assembling the largest group of past Silver Beaver awardees, joining forces to champion and endorse the new class of Silver Beavers—an embodiment of the enduring mentorship and unity rooted in Scouting.
New this year, we invite you to arrive early and enjoy a special social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with past Silver Beaver awardees, share stories, and celebrate the legacy you’ve all helped build within Scouting.
The Banquet symbolizes a significant celebration of shared values and commitment that bind us together as a unified Scouting community. Your participation, be it in person or through sponsorship, enriches the tradition of honoring excellence within our vibrant Scouting Family.

The Silver Beaver Award is the highest honor the Greater Colorado Council, Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a volunteer Scouter in recognition of distinguished service to youth. The recipients will not only be judged on their outstanding volunteer service with the Boy Scouts of America, but their overall service to other organizations within our community.
The nomination forms will be reviewed by a committee comprised of previously selected Silver Beaver honorees and community leaders familiar with the Scouting program. Final approval of the committee’s recommendations will be by the National Court of Honor.
In order to avoid disappointment, please do not reveal to the nominee that they are being considered for this award. Silver Beaver recipients will be notified by Certified Mail from the Council Service Center after the Silver Beaver Selection Committee has made its recommendations and final approval granted.
