Michael A. Fifhause
Scout Executive/CEO
Scouting Colorado
Greater Colorado Council, Scouting America
Mike is a Colorado native, born in Englewood and spending part of his early childhood in Hotchkiss. He grew up primarily in the northern suburbs of Chicago and attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. After graduating, Mike began his career with Scouting at the W.D. Boyce Council, serving central Illinois. Over the next 13 years, he advanced through five leadership roles within the Council. In 2014, Mike and his wife embraced an exciting opportunity to join the Aloha Council in Hawaii. Along with their twin daughters, they spent three years living on Oahu, where Mike served as Director of Field Services and Chief Operating Officer.
Colorado had always been a place the family hoped to return to, and in 2017, that opportunity brought them to the Greater Colorado Council. Shortly after their move, they welcomed their third daughter. Mike served as Director of Development for three years and Deputy Scout Executive for five and a half years before becoming Scout Executive in September 2025.
With twin daughters in their junior year of high school and their youngest in fourth grade, Mike and his family stay busy and enjoy spending time together. They especially enjoy Colorado’s outdoors, whether hiking and biking nearby trails, heading to the mountains, or spending time at one of the many local parks.
