Michael A. Fifhause
Scout Executive/CEO
Scouting Colorado
Greater Colorado Council, Scouting America
Mike Fifhause is a Colorado native, born in Englewood and living for a few years in Hotchkiss. Most of his childhood was spent in the northern suburbs of Chicago and he attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Upon graduation, he began working for the Scouting organization in the W.D. Boyce Council serving central Illinois. Over 13 years, he progressed through five roles in different leadership positions within the W.D. Boyce Council. In 2014, Mike and his wife took an amazing opportunity to go work for the Aloha Council in Hawaii. With their twin daughters, they spent the next three years living on Oahu where Mike served as the Director of Field Services and Chief Operating Officer. Denver had always been a destination for the family to return to, and in 2017 they had the opportunity to relocate to the Greater Colorado Council; and shortly afterwards their third daughter was born. Mike served as the Director of Development for three years, the Deputy Scout Executive for five and a half years, and in September 2025, he began his current role as Scout Executive and Chief Executive Officer.
Now with twin daughters going into their sophomore year of high school, and their youngest going into 3rd grade, the family is always busy and having fun. They enjoy the outdoors, whether it’s in the mountains, hiking and biking nearby trails, or at one of our many local parks.
