Boy Scouts of America, Greater Colorado Council

Leadership Assistance Program (LeaP)

The Greater Colorado Council strives to make Scouting available to all youth that want to participate. The LeAP program launched in 2012, bringing Boy Scouts of America programs to youth in the Denver Metro area who are affected by economic and social hardships. Participants benefit from structured, after-school or community center-based programs led by trained adults in a safe space. Unlike parent-led Dens and Packs, LeAP delivers content to our youth via paid Program Specialists who are trained in Youth Protection and other position-specific areas.

LeAP also provides activities for the Scouting family through quarterly Pack meetings and summer camping opportunities. The Greater Colorado Council also organizes events such as Adventure Day and Fishing Derby exclusively for our youth with multi-intensive learning needs.

If you are interested in becoming a paid Program Specialist, please email Alberto Rodriguez or call (720) 266-2237.

More information about this program is available in our blog post.
