Activity Options

Intended for Cub Scouts (Elementary School):

  • Ozobots: Scouts will use Ozobot robots to learn entry-level robotics, coding, problem-solving, and design-thinking. Leader Guide/Youth Guide
  • Littlebits circuits: Scouts will explore the different ways to build circuits for different devices. Leader Guide/Youth Guide
  • How Things Work: Scouts will build things like inclined planes, roller coasters, and a balloon-powered plane. Leader Guide/Youth Guide

Intended for Scouts BSA (Middle/High School):

  • Structural Engineering: Scouts will learn about basic engineering and build various bridges and towers. Leader Guide/Youth Guide
  • Soft Robotics: Scouts will build using the concept of soft robots much like an elephant’s trunk or an octopus’s arm. Leader Guide/Youth Guide
  • mBots: Scouts combine programming and robotics that use motion, lights, sounds and sensors. Leader Guide/Youth Guide
  • Off to the Races: Scouts will learn how to optimize the speed of a racing car while designing model cars to race each other. Leader Guide/Youth Guide
