Whitewater Rafting (Wednesday Activity) Registration
Whitewater Rafting (Wednesday Activity) Registration
At EaglePoint Base Camp, troops can participate in a traditional summer camp with emphasis on the outdoor Merit Badges, which are taught by staff. If a troop is feeling a bit more ambitious, they may bring their own program and Merit Badge counselors and take advantage of Merit Badges offered at EaglePoint.
Whether participants chose to run their own program, participate in a Greater Colorado Council program, or do a little of both, the experience at EaglePoint Base Camp will be one of a kind!
Start the registration process now by selecting the date your troop would like to attend EaglePoint.
For troops who want to kick back and relax in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the traditional summer camp schedule provides the opportunity for Scouts to move forward in rank. At EaglePoint first year Scouts are encouraged to take the following Merit Badges: First Aid, Orienteering, Wilderness Survival, and Pioneering. Earning these Merit Badges enables Scouts to complete some of the rank advancement requirements necessary to get to First Class.
Scouts can cool off and jump into Tumblesom Lake, a natural spring-fed lake, as well as canoe, kayak or paddleboard. Scouts of all ages can experience a low rope (C.O.P.E.) course that emphasizes team building. For Scouts who are age 13 and First Class, the high rope (C.O.P.E.) course is available to challenge personal fortitude at 30 feet off the ground. Learning all the skills and techniques for archery are also available for Scouts. Sign up for the climbing Merit Badge and learn to climb and belay on Tahosa’s own Signal Rock.
